Device resets

Release every device on a license from the dashboard, the API, Discord, or a self-service page.

Reset from the dashboard or API#

A reset releases every device on a license, so the customer can activate on new hardware. On a license's page, select Reset devices. From your server:

bash
curl -X POST https://api.atlasinfra.cloud/v1/licenses/lic_.../reset-devices \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer sk_live_..."

The reset is recorded in the audit log as license.devices_reset, with the number of devices released.

Let customers reset their own devices#

  1. Under your product's Updates & resets tab, turn on Let customers reset their own devices.
  2. Choose a cooldown (for example 24 hours) so a key can't be passed around by resetting it over and over.
  3. Link customers to the hosted page at /reset?product=prod_...&key=pk_live_..., call reset_devices(key) from any SDK, or point them at the Discord bot's /reset-devices command.

Self-service resets fail with device_reset_unavailable when the product doesn't allow them, and device_reset_cooldown (HTTP 429, with the next allowed time in next_reset_at) inside the cooldown. Resets from the dashboard and API ignore the cooldown.
